 WESTFIELD - James G. Jones, age 31, of East Main Street, Westfield died unexpectedly, Monday, July 19, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Jimmy was born on August 9, 1978 in Westfield, NY the son of James L. and Beverly (Gilbert) Jones. A Westfield resident all his life, Jimmy attended Westfield Academy and Central School. He enjoyed his family and friends and was known for his great sense of humor. Jim liked to work on cars and enjoyed tinkering with mechanical things. He had a knack for landscaping. His children were his main love in life. Besides his parents, James and Beverly of Westfield, Jimmy is also survived by his children, Jamie L. and Haley M. Jones of Westfield, his four sisters, Brenda K. Foster, Jennifer F. Gariepy both of Westfield, NY, Belynda A. Tolbert of Laquey, MO, and Wanda M. Elder of Ripley, NY and his one brother: Bryan A. Jones of also Westfield. He is further survived by his Paternal Grandmother, Lois (Nichols) Jones of Westfield, NY; and his Maternal Grandparents, Lovis and Carolyn (Kelsey) Gilbert of Westfield. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Harold A. Jones Friends may call on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, and are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 West Main Road, Westfield with Rev. Ryan Grafton officiating. Private burial will be in Westfield Cemetery. Jimmy’s family asks that memorial donation be made to the family in care of the Funeral Home. Im so sorry for the loss of Jimmy. I know exactly how you all are feeling right now, being that I just went through this 8 months ago loosing my brother who also was Jimmy's friend Jonathan Calvey. Jimmy was there for us every step of the way to help us grieve and we will be there for you all. WIll not tell you that the days ahead will get easier but i know you will get stronger at accepting he is gone. Jimmy was a good guy we will all miss him for many different reasons. May God walk by your side for the follwoing days that lie ahead of you. I'am so sorry myself. Jimmy is my big brother. That taught me to be strong. I miss him so much, I know that he is in a better place. MOM,DAD i am so sorry that we lost my big brother Jimmy. The walk of life has many different obsticles in which are hard to get throgh. We never will understand why they come to us the way they do, but if you have faith in the LORD we will understand it all happens for a reason. This is one of the most difficult thing that i had to deal with in my life, but i know god will help us all though it. I'm tring to be stong for my family, but we all have to come together as one and help each other get through this tuff walk of life. Jimmy i miss and love you very much. Untill we met again the memories of you will always be in my mind and heart. To Bev,Jim I am so sorry to here that you lost your oldest son Jimmy. I have been wanting to say something but i just was all choked up, didnt now how to put it. He will be missed so much.
